Sunshine Acres Solar Project

Royal Solar of Arizona is proud to announce that we have been able to help Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Mesa, AZ toward their renewable energy goals by installing a 23.655 kW ground-mounted solar electric system.  The system is largely composed of solar equipment donated to Sunshine Acres by entities including Power-One and Arizona State University.  The solar system installed by Royal Solar will primarily be used to power the nearby chapel.

We are very excited to have been able to work with this great local organization, which has helped over 1,600 children.  Sunshine Acres Children’s Home opened in Mesa, Arizona in 1954 and is dedicated to providing a loving home to children who are separated from their parents.  You can find out more about Sunshine Acres by visiting their website.

Sunshine Acres has set a major initiative to produce a solar powered campus, and Royal Solar is excited to be a part of the progress towards this goal.

Here are some statistics about the new solar system:

  • System Size: 23.655 kW-DC
  • Number of solar panels: 107
  • Inverters: combination of Power One & Enphase Energy
